Wrap-Up Circle: Ending Your Girls Group with Self Esteem & Confidence
Apr 25, 2025
Because how you end a girls group matters just as much as how you begin.
You’ve shown up. You’ve created space. You’ve led brave conversations and held big emotions. And now—it’s time to close your group, workshop, or program. But don’t just high-five and head out the door.
A wrap-up circle gives girls time to reflect, celebrate their growth, and anchor the self esteem they’ve been building. It’s a chance to remind them: this might be the end of our sessions, but it’s not the end of your confidence journey.
Here’s how to end with heart—and leave your girls feeling seen, proud, and ready to shine.
đź’ˇ Key Takeaways
-
A meaningful closing circle creates lasting emotional impact and confidence
-
Reflection helps girls internalize what they’ve learned and who they’ve become
-
Simple rituals, affirmations, and connection activities build closure and pride
-
Ending with intention turns your group into a memory they’ll carry with them
1. Circle Up for a Confidence Reflection
Sit in a circle and invite each girl to share:
-
One thing she’s learned about herself
-
One brave moment she’s proud of
-
One affirmation she wants to carry forward
Keep it optional, low-pressure, and filled with encouragement.
2. Pass the Compliment Candle (or Object)
Use a symbolic object like a candle, flower, or stone. As it’s passed around the circle, each girl shares one kind thing about the person to her left. It’s a beautiful, affirming way to end with connection.
3. “Then & Now” Journaling
Have girls reflect on where they were at the start of the group versus now.
Prompts:
-
How did I feel at the beginning?
-
What’s changed or grown inside me?
-
What am I taking with me into the future?
4. Create a Confidence Certificate
Celebrate each girl with a personalized certificate that highlights her growth, strengths, or a standout moment from the program. It’s a tangible reminder of her journey.
5. Leave With an Affirmation
Let each girl choose (or create) a personal affirmation to take with her. You can print cards, decorate them, or even write them on river stones or bookmarks.
Examples:
-
“I trust myself more than ever.”
-
“I am strong, kind, and ready for what’s next.”
6. Share a Final Group Mantra
End your session with a shared mantra or call-and-response. Something like:
You: “Who are we?”
Girls: “Strong. Kind. Fearless. Enough.”
You: “What will we carry?”
Girls: “Confidence. Courage. Self love.”
It’s a moment of unity they won’t forget.
7. Invite Ongoing Connection
If appropriate, invite girls to keep in touch—through a shared journal, digital group space, or future events. Remind them that the circle doesn’t end here—just evolves.
